Profile

Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Ashlie began performing at an early age in school plays, church choirs and local community theatre. After studying Drama at the University of Calgary for two years, she then transferred to the more conservatory based Theatre Arts program at Grant MacEwan University in Edmonton. While in her first year at Grant MacEwan, Ashlie made her professional debut in the musical Floyd Collins with Leave it to Jane Theatre. After graduating, she worked with a variety of theatre companies based in Alberta, including four seasons as part of Edmonton Opera's Chorus. Some of her favourite credits include playing Lucy Van Pelt in productions of both "Snoopy' and "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown", as well as appearing as a featured soloist for Alberta's Centennial Tattoo where she got to sing with a 100+ piece marching band.

Ashlie also teaches musical theatre classes to children with Bravo Academy and and is extremely delighted to be able to share her passion with a younger generation.
